Tidbit II: Silly Book Covers

Digging through Goodwill Superstore bins, I came across three books with winning covers. For anyone honing their marketing skills in the self-publishing world, these examples offer rich insight and exciting possibilities:

Mother’s in the Kitchen The LLL Cookbook. Well-traveled and weary in the Goodwill bin.

Mother’s in the Kitchen. Of course Mother’s in the kitchen. Where the f*ck else would she be except the laundry room? Maybe that’s where the bottom half of her went.

365 Ways to Cook Chicken. Woo hoo! That’ll spice up life in the kitchen!

365 Ways to Cook Chicken! Oh, goody! And guess what? It’s still gonna taste like chicken. Maybe Mother will cook chicken 365 ways. Oof.

IPad for Seniors for Dummies. I wonder if there’s an iPad for Real Seniors.

And my favorite…iPad for Seniors. Are you kidding me? You don’t take a 45 year-old model, put cheap grey dye in his hair, and call him a senior. Or am I just getting stupiderer? Well, probably yeah, but at least I’m not dumm. Why not get an actual senior for the photo, or is that “age-ist”, or is there a law against exposing seniors to bright lights for too long, like babies?

Thankfully, that’s all I got today. Morra Morron couldn’t visit us with this post, as there’s enough moron in it already. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed Tidbit II, which segues nicely to next post–Attack of the 37 Year-Old Woman. ‘Til then, keep reading, and keep your eyes out for treasures like these!

I love the links between life and literature, and couldn't get by day-to-day without a little humor. Here's my place to share thoughts and discoveries in bite-sized pieces, illustrated by my sister Morra Morron. Enjoy!
