Para-Holidays: Valentine Cards from Backhanded Greetings

When You Don’t Care to Send the Very Best.

Or, What I really meant to say was…

Hey, I know Valentine’s Day should be sweet-n-romantic, but how ’bout a little honesty, too? Just in time for the Holiday of Love (oh, please), creative sister muse Morra Morron created some lovely Valentine’s for Backhanded Greetings. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's pen and ink drawing of two wine glasses, roses, candles, and three wedding rings, says "You're a vast improvement over my first spouse."

For the narcissist in your life…It’s All About You Valentine’s Card.
Heart drawing with two faces, one yellow and one blue, smiling at each other. Underneath says, "I'm committed...and you should be, too."
Every relationship requires commitment. Well, to each other, that is.

Curiously, these cards aren’t far off the mark from the-good-ol’-days vinegar valentines, about which I just read at this link:

Enjoy Valentine’s with your sweetheart, and if you don’t have a sweetheart, at least you saved a few bucks on a card. Keep reading, keep laughing, and have a little fun!

I love the links between life and literature, and couldn't get by day-to-day without a little humor. Here's my place to share thoughts and discoveries in bite-sized pieces, illustrated by my sister Morra Morron. Enjoy!
