Flowers and the Winter Blues

Drawing of a sad flower with white and green petals.
A sweet, sad blossom illustrated by a talented young lady.

How can you call it the winter blues when the sky was rarely blue but rather gray?

Be gone! Drab and dreary, gray and weary, sad, unsavory winter weather!

Pick up your spirits with a few pics from my beloved Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and illustrations by a dear little lady close to my heart.

Any botanical garden with an indoor conservatory is a treat during the winter, especially if your wallet won’t let you go on a warm vacation. Visit Longwood Gardens at http://www.longwoodgardens.org, and if ticket prices are still high for you, they work with Snap, too.

I hope you enjoyed another ‘mini-vacation’ with Wander in a Box! And always remember to enjoy a blossom or two : )

I love the links between life and literature, and couldn't get by day-to-day without a little humor. Here's my place to share thoughts and discoveries in bite-sized pieces, illustrated by my sister Morra Morron. Enjoy!
